House of Marbles is a free-entry family attraction set in a historic pottery on the edge of Bovey Tracey, Devon. Children can try some of the marble runs, which include one of the largest permanent marble run structures the venue says it has, and watch glassmakers working at the glassworks, where the items being made change from day to day. Three small museums cover marbles and glass, board games, and pottery, with old kilns and models to look at. Outside, the courtyard garden has giant games, a climbing frame and a marble-play area, and there is a brass rubbing trail. The site also has a shop full of marbles, games and toys, and a restaurant for lunch or afternoon tea. It suits younger children and families looking for an easy indoor-outdoor visit, and it stays usable in wet weather with a covered conservatory area.
