We haven’t checked this venue’s facilities yet. Give them a ring if something specific matters for your visit.
The Museum of British Surfing occupies a converted railway building in the centre of Braunton, a village on the North Devon coast. Its collection centres on more than 200 surfboards, many of them vintage, along with photographs, literature, videos and other surfing memorabilia that trace the sport's history in Britain. Displays change through the year, so a family visit can offer something different each time, and there is a small gift area to browse. Children are admitted free, which makes it an easy stop between beach visits for families with older children who are curious about the sea and its culture. The site also includes a skate bowl at the back, which the museum provides free for anyone to use. Visitors should check the current opening pattern before setting out, as the museum is run largely by volunteers.
