What’s there
- Parking
Museum sits beside the large public Caen Street car park in central Braunton.
Only facilities we’ve confirmed are listed — anything missing here we simply haven’t checked, rather than know to be absent.
A small, free-entry museum housed in a converted bakehouse in the centre of Braunton, a village on the edge of the North Devon coast. The collection covers the town's farming and seafaring past, with scale models of local vessels, a working model of the old Braunton railway station as it stood in the 1950s, and displays on the two world wars, including the wartime training that took place on the nearby burrows. Families with older children and curious younger visitors can wander at their own pace, and staff are happy to offer a guided tour on request. A small gift shop sells local history booklets and walking guides. It works well as a rainy-day stop between beach visits, and it sits beside the Braunton Countryside Centre, so the two can easily be combined in one visit.
