Bradley Manor is a medieval manor house still lived in by a family, set in about 100 acres of hay meadows, old orchards and woodland just a short walk from Newton Abbot town centre. Inside, guided tours take visitors up and down the staircases through rooms that show how the house was changed and extended over several centuries, with a restored Great Hall and historic features to spot. Visits to the house are by pre-booked guided tour only, on selected dates in the warmer months, so the day suits families who enjoy history and want to combine a short tour with a walk. The surrounding estate is open to all year round, with riverside paths and natural woodland to explore, and dogs on leads are welcome in the meadow and woods. There are no toilets or refreshments on site, so families should plan ahead and bring their own food and drink.
Manor house opens for pre-booked guided tours on selected dates from April to October. Tours for 2026 have finished; 2027 tickets release about 14 days before each tour date.
