Free car park for visitors to the house, with two hard-surface blue badge spaces; caravans and trailers should telephone ahead. Access is from the A376 end of Summer Lane.

Only facilities we’ve confirmed are listed — anything missing here we simply haven’t checked, rather than know to be absent.

A la Ronde is a 16-sided house on the edge of Exmouth, built in the 1790s by two cousins, Jane and Mary Parminter, after their tour of Europe. Inside, children can explore the shell-decorated rooms, the crowded cabinets of travel souvenirs and the Room of Discovery, a sensory space inspired by the Shell Gallery. There is a grand piano in the music room to play. Outside, a level meadow path and a sculpture bench trail wind through an orchard and hay meadow with views over the Exe estuary. The Exe Estuary Trail runs close by for walking and cycling. Dogs on leads are welcome in the grounds. It suits a relaxed half-day out for families who enjoy history, quirky buildings and open space rather than rides or play equipment.

Closed for the winter; the National Trust says it reopens in March 2027.
