The Whimple Heritage Centre is a small museum in a village in East Devon, run entirely by volunteers. Its displays cover the social history of Whimple through the twentieth century, with a strong focus on the Whiteway's Cyder company, which had its headquarters in the village for nearly a century. Visitors can see artefacts, photographs and documents, and a small display about the puppeteer Ann Hogarth, who was a well-known resident. The building also holds an archive of records that can be brought down for viewing by arrangement. There is a gift shop with local souvenirs. The centre suits families with older children who enjoy local history, cider-making and old village life, and it is a short visit that pairs well with a meal at the pub next door. It is a quiet, low-key place rather than an interactive attraction.
