Combe Martin Museum sits near the seafront and car park in this North Devon village and covers the area's social, industrial and maritime past across three floors. Displays include the silver mining that once shaped the village, the strawberry and market gardening trade, smuggling stories and the Earl of Rone festival costumes. Children can take part in hands-on and interactive exhibits, and the museum runs seasonal events such as children's crafting sessions and guided seashore and rock pool safaris. The building is step-free with a lift to all galleries, so it suits a wet-day visit or a relaxed stop between beach trips. It also works as the village tourist information point, with maps and walking route information for the South West Coast Path. Entry for accompanied children is free.
Seasonal events include children's crafting sessions and guided seashore and rock pool safaris (2026 safaris ended for the season; 2027 dates to be announced in spring).
