MAKE Southwest is a contemporary craft gallery and craft education charity in a historic riverside mill in Bovey Tracey, on the edge of Dartmoor. Three galleries across two floors host around fifteen exhibitions a year of contemporary and traditional craft and design, and a large ground-floor shop sells handmade ceramics, glass, prints, textiles and furniture by Southwest makers. Younger visitors tend to enjoy the free drop-in making activity in the Discover Making corner, which is themed on the current exhibition, and the venue runs a Saturday craft club and workshops for children and families. The building has level entrances and a platform lift to the first floor, and the café is dog friendly. The town's riverside park, with a playground and skate park, is opposite the mill.
