A small museum on a working farm just outside Dover, telling the story of the women who served in the Women's Land Army during the Second World War. The displays are built around personal letters and interviews given by former land girls, along with authentic uniforms and factual information about the wartime farm work they did. It is a compact visit, and it suits older children and adults with an interest in history. The museum sits alongside a farm shop, bakery, restaurant and café, a woodland trail through ancient woodland, and a natural play area with a play house and beams. Fred the donkey and two Shetland ponies are kept on the farm, so families can pair a short look at the wartime exhibits with a walk and a play session in the grounds.
