An underground museum built around the remains of an original Roman town house, a Scheduled Ancient Monument. The centrepiece is one of the UK's only remaining in situ Roman pavement mosaics. The collection spans over 2,000 years of Roman Britain's history, with opportunities to explore artefacts and learn about life in Roman Canterbury. Summer activities include minting your own replica Roman coin.
This summer, we are cutting prices for children and families at Canterbury Roman Museum, supported by the UK Government’s decision to slash VAT across children's meals, activities, and days out as part of their Great British Summer Savings (25 June until 1 September 2026)
