Free car park with ample space for cars and coaches; two blue badge bays on the right of the car park, and disabled parking also permitted in the rear coach park.

Only facilities we’ve confirmed are listed — anything missing here we simply haven’t checked, rather than know to be absent.

A free-entry museum built around two restored Second World War fighters, a Supermarine Spitfire Mk XVI and a Hawker Hurricane IIc, displayed close up on the historic RAF Manston airfield in east Kent. Alongside the aircraft are wartime objects, photographs and archive material that tell the story of RAF Manston and of life in and around Ramsgate during the war. Children can try a Spitfire flight simulator, which uses genuine Spitfire controls, and there are talks and group education sessions. The site has a café and small shop, a quiet memorial garden with benches, and ample free parking for cars and coaches, so it works well as a relaxed half-day out for families interested in history, planes or the wartime era.
