A small museum on the quayside of Ramsgate's Royal Harbour, housed in the Grade II* listed Clock House. Its galleries cover the development of the harbour, navigation, fishing, lifeboats and shipwrecks, and display artefacts recovered from the nearby Goodwin Sands, including items linked to the warship Stirling Castle. A brass meridian line once used to set Ramsgate's own local mean time was kept inside the building. An events and exhibition space hosts changing displays. The museum suits visitors interested in local history and sits beside the harbour and town centre. The building is being restored by Thanet Council, which plans a heritage hub with a café, so check before travelling for current details.
Normally open Easter to end of September. Closed for renovation at time of checking; reopening expected autumn 2026 per council.
