Ramsgate Tunnels is a wartime heritage attraction on the East Cliff of Ramsgate, where guided explorer tours lead visitors from a Victorian railway tunnel into the deep air raid precaution tunnels built beneath the town in the Second World War. The tours are billed as a family adventure, and the story of people who sheltered and lived underground suits children old enough to follow a guide through a dimly lit underground route. Other offers include shorter railway tunnel walks, a Second World War themed air raid experience and a tea shop on site. Schools and youth groups can book visits and talks. Pre-booking is recommended, and there are no public toilets inside the tunnels, so families should plan ahead for the visit.
Winter (1 Nov to 31 Mar) is the more restricted pattern; the summer grid is not held as openingHours.
