A free-entry social history museum in the centre of Edenbridge, West Kent, run by volunteers and devoted to the people, buildings and landscape of the Kent Eden Valley. Displays use objects, photographs and local records to tell the area's story. Younger visitors can look through the Cabinet of Curiosity, an old pharmacy cabinet with drawers of everyday objects and facts to discover, and the museum also publishes craft activities that children can try at home. In the courtyard a wartime Iron Consol shelter can be seen, and temporary displays are shown on the ground floor. The upper floor is reached by stairs only, so families with pushchairs or wheelchairs should check the access notes before visiting. It makes a short, unhurried stop for a family exploring the town.
