The Old Lighthouse at Dungeness is a historic lighthouse on the Romney Marsh coast that visitors can climb for wide views across the English Channel and the shingle landscape. The venue's own site describes information about the building and the area along the way up, and the lighthouse is also licensed for civil ceremonies. Children are welcome: under-5s go free and there are family and school rates. Dogs and live animals are not allowed inside the tower. Because the tower is a climb, it suits children who are comfortable with stairs. The lighthouse sits close to the Dungeness nature reserve and the Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch Railway, so it can be combined with a walk on the coast.
