Dover Museum is a modern local history and archaeology museum in the town centre telling the story of the area. The star exhibit is a Bronze Age Boat discovered in 1992, thought to be around 3,500 years old, with a dedicated gallery explaining its significance. Current exhibitions include What People Wore, covering fashion from the Regency period through the 1970s, and Front Line Town, a stairwell exhibition about life in Dover during World War II. The museum offers educational workshops relevant to the History National Curriculum for Key Stages 1, 2 and 3, hosted in a dedicated education room and the galleries.
