Portmeirion is an architectural village with hotels, self-catering cottages, shops, restaurants and cafes set amongst woodland gardens and estuary views. The Grade II listed Hotel Portmeirion is an early Victorian villa converted to a hotel in 1925. Castell Deudraeth is a Victorian castellated folly converted into a contemporary hotel. There are 32 individually designed rooms and suites throughout the village. For longer stays, 13 self-catering cottages are available. Dining ranges from fine dining at the award-winning Art Deco restaurant in Hotel Portmeirion, focused on modern classics based on local produce, to a more informal brasserie at Castell Deudraeth. Six on-site cafes and coffee shops offer everything from freshly made pizzas to Italian-style gelato. The village hosts events including Gwyl Portmeirion Festival and Steampunk Weekend.

Main season 23 Mar-1 Nov 2026 (toll booths 09:30-18:30, last entry 17:00); out of season 2 Nov 2026-15 Mar 2027 (09:30-17:30, last entry 16:30). Open 7 days a week. Closed to day visitors 25 & 26 Dec 2026. 23 Nov-11 Dec 2026 some village views affected by Christmas fair set-up.
