Rhuddlan Castle (Castell Rhuddlan) is a 13th-century concentric fortress built for Edward I by master mason James of St George, set on the banks of the River Clwyd. The castle sits in spacious grounds with grassy banks, a dry moat and riverside walks, giving families plenty of room to explore. Cadw runs family trails, learning resources and seasonal events here. Facilities include an on-site car park, gift shop, light refreshments and accessible toilets. Children under 5 go free and family tickets are available.

Closed 2 November - 27 March. Season 28 March - 1 November, 10am-5pm, closed Tuesday & Wednesday.
