The Soldiers of Gloucestershire Museum occupies the Custom House in Gloucester Docks and tells the stories of Gloucestershire soldiers over 300 years. Displays and exhibitions cover the lives of soldiers from the 1600s to recent conflicts, with a particular focus on the Gloucestershire Regiment, the Royal Gloucestershire Regiment Hussars, and their modern successors. The museum runs interactive workshops, talks, and family-friendly activities. You can search a database of over 40,000 WWI soldier records free of charge and explore the museum's research collections.
