Occombe Farm is a family day out on the edge of Paignton, run by the Torbay Coast and Countryside Trust as an organic working farm. The site is built around a play barn, a farm kitchen and nature trails, so children can spend time playing indoors and then walk outside. Parents can sit down in the farm kitchen while the children play. The farm has run events for families in the past, such as discovery trails, cookery sessions and meet-the-animals visits, but the current programme varies, so check before travelling. Recent visitor reviews say the farm shop and some animals were not open on their visits, so confirm what is running on the day. The mix of indoor play and outdoor trails makes it useful in changeable weather.
