The Honiton Agricultural Show is a one-day countryside show held on a large showground just outside Honiton in East Devon. It is run by the Honiton and District Agricultural Association and takes place on the first Thursday in August. Families come for the livestock classes, the dog show, rural skills demonstrations and a wide mix of trade stands, food and craft stalls. Younger visitors have their own entertainment, with a children's zone, fairground rides, Punch and Judy and roaming costumed characters. Children under 16 are admitted free when accompanied by a paying adult, which makes it an easy, good-value day out for a family. The site is large and grassy, so comfortable shoes and sun or rain gear are worth bringing.
Runs once a year in August.
