- Dogs welcome
Only facilities we’ve confirmed are listed — anything missing here we simply haven’t checked, rather than know to be absent.
Bickleigh Mill is a historic corn mill in a riverside setting in mid Devon, now a shopping and dining destination spread over several floors. Visitors can see the mill workings and water wheel on display, wander the waterside gardens where resident peacocks roam, and follow walks through the grounds, which cover about ten acres with their own waterways. The shop has a children's floor with toys and gifts, and the bistro has a children's menu, so it suits a relaxed family outing with a mix of interests, from history and nature to browsing and lunch. Dogs on leads are welcome in the shop, gardens and parts of the bistro, and the site sits beside the Exe Valley Way for longer walks. It is less of a play-focused attraction than a soft play or farm park, so younger children may get the most from the grounds and the peacocks.
