The Devon County Showground at Westpoint is the home of the Devon County Show, a three-day agricultural and family event held each May. Visitors can see livestock and horses in the rings, watch arena entertainment in the main arena, and browse food and drink, crafts and trade stands spread across the grounds. A children's farm lets younger visitors get hands-on with farm activities, and there are demonstrations and displays for older children too. The showground is largely grass with surfaced roads between features, so comfortable footwear and a plan of which areas to visit suit a family day best. Because the show runs only for a few days a year, families should check the official calendar for the current year's dates before travelling.
Annual May event; not open to public visits outside the show days.
