Made-Well is a not-for-profit community interest company on a working farm just outside Hatherleigh in north Devon. Families visit to spend time with ponies, goats, rabbits and a tortoise, to take a stroll along the garden trail and to let children use the inclusive playground, which includes equipment designed for wheelchair users. There is a café serving homemade food, plants and handmade items for sale, and a regular Animal Club that invites children to help look after the animals. Events such as summer fayres bring inflatables, games and face painting. The site is a working farm with moving vehicles and machinery, so children need to be supervised at all times. Dogs are welcome on leads, but only assistance dogs are admitted to the animal barn and playground.
Event calendar varies, e.g. a February half-term family programme and summer fayres.
