A small local history museum housed in a 19th-century former council stables and foreman's cottage in the centre of Exmouth. The museum is split into several galleries covering the town's past, from its fishing-village origins and links with the Royal Marines and the railway to wartime exhibits, a 1950s room and a Victorian kitchen. Displays include photographs, personal possessions, local business memorabilia, antique lace and local brickmaking. It is a short, easy visit for a day out in the seaside town. Group visits from schools and clubs are welcome on request. The museum is run entirely by volunteers and is a registered charity, and it sells a small range of items in its shop.
Winter closure until 22 March 2027 per the venue's home page.
