A small village museum run by the St Osyth Historical Society and staffed entirely by volunteers. It is housed in a former Non-Conformist chapel in the cemetery behind the priory wall, and tells the story of the village from its earliest settlement through the legend of St Osyth, the witch trials of the 16th and 17th centuries and the everyday lives of past residents. Families with older children can enjoy the local stories, the displays on village industry and the seasonal exhibitions, such as a Halloween exhibition on the St Osyth witches. The society also runs educational events and walking tours around the village. The museum is compact, so it suits a short visit combined with a stroll around the historic priory grounds and the surrounding listed buildings.
