We haven’t checked this venue’s facilities yet. Give them a ring if something specific matters for your visit.
A small military museum housed in a Nissen hut on a working airfield in south Norfolk. Its displays cover the 453rd Bombardment Group, the US Eighth Air Force unit that flew B-24 Liberator bombers from this base during the final months of the Second World War. Visitors find artefacts, documents, photographs and personal stories from the airmen. A second room, the 8th Air Force Heritage Gallery, widens the story to other Eighth Air Force units in East Anglia and includes a reconstructed US Army Post Exchange. The museum suits older children and adults with an interest in history or aircraft. Outside the building stands a memorial garden with a figure-eight path marking the Eighth Air Force. Entry is free, with donations welcomed.
