Broomy Hill Railway is a volunteer-run miniature railway on the western side of Hereford, operated by the Hereford Society of Model Engineers. Families can ride on two separate tracks: a longer ground-level line that carries the larger engines, and an elevated track for smaller locomotives. The wider site has a model boating pond, a garden railway and a clubhouse with a small museum and picture display, so there is plenty to look at between rides. It sits next to the Waterworks Museum, which makes a combined afternoon easy to plan. Trains only run on public running days during the warmer months, so it suits a planned outing rather than a spontaneous visit. There is space for a picnic and a snack cafe on site.
Trains run on listed public running days only, Spring to Autumn; the site lists 2027 dates.
