Stretton Watermill is a working water-powered corn mill set beside a mill pond in the countryside of West Cheshire. Visitors are shown how grain is turned into flour, with the machinery driven by water from the pond, and the building's history spans several centuries. The mill is run as part of the West Cheshire Museums group and includes a small exhibition area alongside the working floors. Families can see the water wheel turning and learn how mills worked in the past. The site has grounds and a picnic area, so it suits a relaxed afternoon outing with children. It is also used for school and group visits, where pupils can see the forces and mechanisms at work in a fully operational mill. Opening is seasonal and limited to certain days, so it is worth checking before travelling.

Seasonal opening: May to August Thursday to Sunday, April and September weekends only. Group visits by arrangement in daylight hours April to October.
