Englesea Brook Chapel and Museum of Primitive Methodism

A small rural museum in a Georgian-style chapel and former school building, telling the story of the Primitive Methodist movement. Families can pick up activity bags to use around the museum, follow trails written for both very young children and older ones, and spend time in a dedicated children's corner with a resident bear mascot. Outside there is a sensory Peace Garden, a physic garden filled with herbs to touch, a sandpit, and the chance to spot alpacas in a neighbouring field. The adjoining tea room serves light refreshments and cake. Entry to the museum is free, with a donation box at the door. The museum also runs crafts sessions, family events and heritage talks through the year, and welcomes school parties and well-behaved dogs.
