What’s there
- Café on site
The Wilson's own page on the Cheltenham Town Hall site says it has no dedicated car park; the closest public car parks are on Cheltenham Walk, and there are disabled bays outside the library next door plus Blue Badge on-street parking on the double yellow lines in front of the building.
Only facilities we’ve confirmed are listed — anything missing here we simply haven’t checked, rather than know to be absent.
The Wilson is Cheltenham's art gallery and museum, in the town centre on Clarence Street. Its collection centres on an internationally significant Arts and Crafts Movement holding of furniture, silver, textiles, ceramics and paintings, shown alongside fine art, Cotswold archaeology, world cultures and local history about Cheltenham as a Regency spa town. A gallery is devoted to Antarctic explorer Edward Wilson, who grew up in the town. For younger visitors there is the World of Wonders children's gallery, a hands-on space for little people and their families to play, touch and explore objects from the collection. The museum also runs temporary exhibitions and family events through the year, and it has a café and a tourist information centre on site. It suits a wet-weather outing or a relaxed stop between shops in central Cheltenham.
