Lauderdale House is a Grade II* listed Tudor house dating from 1582, set inside Waterlow Park on Highgate Hill in north London. It now runs as an arts, heritage and education centre, so families can combine a look around the historic rooms with time in the surrounding park. The house hosts children's shows, concerts, exhibitions and workshops through the year, and it runs termly art classes for children aged 5 to 11 alongside local children's groups for drama, music and storytelling. A café with a terrace is open on most days. The park surrounds the house and has a Waterlow Park activity trail for young explorers. Because the building is historic, some areas are reached by a platform lift, so it is worth checking access before a visit.
