Camden Market is a sprawling set of connected markets beside the Regent's Canal in north London, spread across the Lock, Stables and Hawley Wharf areas with a food hall and North Yard restaurant courtyard. Families can wander the cobbled lanes, browse the stalls and stop for food from street vendors and sit-down restaurants. Seasonal extras aimed at little ones have included a festive ice grotto with face painting and workshops, and the market also runs family-friendly canal boat trips that depart nearby. Much of the site is aimed at adult shoppers, with bars, rooftop venues and music history, so families with younger children may want to plan around the quieter weekday daytime and the more child-focused events. The canal, the lock and the busy street atmosphere make it a useful stop for an older-child outing.
