SPYGAMES is a high-tech activity venue in Covent Garden, built with CIA and Special Ops experts. Teams of two to five work their way through 16 game zones — Trap Attack, Stealth Matrix, Cipher Sequence, Grapple, Moving Hazards and the rest — each one rated for physical and mental difficulty, and each testing a different mix of balance, speed, teamwork and perception. It is agility, collaboration and communication rather than sitting and solving clues.
A standard session runs 50 minutes. Scores turn into XP and a place on the leaderboard against other teams, with rewards unlocked as you climb, and larger groups split into several teams so everyone still plays every room. It is for ages 6 and up, and it shares a building with the SPYSCAPE spy museum if you want to make a longer visit of it.
Trainers or flat-soled shoes and long trousers are the thing to wear, since some rooms mean crawling.
