Facilities

The Bradford Police Museum is a small independent museum and registered charity housed inside the historic City Hall in Centenary Square. Visitors can walk through the original Victorian police cells, sit in a restored courtroom where real cases were heard, and look at a collection of uniforms, artefacts and retired police vehicles, including classic cars and motorbikes. Guided tours led by volunteers take about an hour and suit older children and curious families who enjoy local history, crime stories and something a bit different. Younger children are kept engaged by the vehicles and the cells, and the museum runs occasional children's craft workshops and family-friendly events through the year. The site is compact and mostly on one level, with some narrow corridors and a courtroom reached by steps. Opening is limited to Saturdays, so check the current calendar before travelling.
