The Radio Museum sits in a former pub on Anchor Street in the centre of Watchet, a short walk from the harbour and the West Somerset Railway station. It was started in 1993 and moved to Watchet from the old BBC transmitting station site at Washford. The displays follow the story of radio and broadcasting in Britain from the 1920s onwards, with vintage domestic radios and televisions alongside early BBC microphones, tape recorders and parts of transmitters. Visitors can look at old outside broadcast equipment and a collection of wartime and post-war sets. The rooms are fairly compact and the collection is packed in closely, so it suits older children with an interest in gadgets, history or how things work, and is a quiet, low-key outing for a rainy afternoon. The owner often talks visitors through the exhibits himself, which makes it a good stop for curious families.

Closed for the winter except by appointment; reopening on 1 April per the venue's own site.
