No onsite parking for visitors. Limited accessible parking can be pre-booked by phone. Park-and-ride or city-centre car parks are the usual options; the paid Sunday parking at Prior Park College is not National Trust.

Prior Park Landscape Garden is a National Trust garden on the slopes south of Bath, laid out in the 1700s with advice from Capability Brown and Alexander Pope. Families come for the walk round the lakes and winding paths, the rare Palladian bridge that can be crossed, and the views back over the city. The lower garden has a restored cascade and dams, and there is a small refreshment cabin by the lower entrance. Dogs on leads are welcome. The paths include steep sections between the upper and lower parts of the garden, so it suits children who enjoy walking and exploring rather than a play-focused day. Seasonal events, including a Christmas show in the lower garden, run through the year. It works well as a gentle outdoor day out or as a start point for the six-mile Bath Skyline walk.
