Worsbrough Mill sits in Worsbrough Bridge on the edge of a large country park, and is one of the sites run by Barnsley Museums. The old mill buildings date back to the early seventeenth century, and the museum tells the story of milling in the area, from the first record of a mill here to the later steam-powered machinery. The shop sells flour ground at the mill along with gifts. Outside, families can follow waymarked walks around the reservoir and through woodland, including a multi-sensory trail, and a children's play area with swings, slides and climbing frames sits near the car park. The Millers Tea Room serves food and drinks, and there are picnic tables for those who bring their own lunch. Dogs are welcome in the park and the tea room.
Country park open all year. Mill and shop open Thursday to Sunday only. Park can be busy in summer and school holidays.
