A small, volunteer-led museum in a restored Georgian yeoman's residence, telling the story of Darfield's industrial and mining past. Rooms are arranged over several floors and hold a mix of domestic antiques, mining tools and local photographs, including a rag and chain pump and a Davy lamp. Guided tours are available and bring the displays to life, with stories about the house and the people who lived in it. Children can take in the old household objects and the mining exhibits, and school groups are welcomed. The tea room on site serves hot drinks and cakes, which makes it an easy stop after a walk in the surrounding area. The museum is small, so it suits an unhurried visit of an hour or so rather than a full day out. Check the opening days before travelling, as the museum opens only on certain days of the week.

Year-round pattern; no seasonal variation stated on the venue's site.
