The charm of Sledmere, celebrated for over two hundred years, shines in its 18th‑century Walled Garden and the wide open Parkland. A family day out can include a picnic in the gardens, a stroll through the wide spaces, or a visit to the House for guided tours on selected dates. Children will enjoy the Adventure Play Area and the Farm, where they can meet animals. The Coach House Café and Farm Shop offer coffee and a chance to browse without a ticket, and parking is free. This venue suits families seeking art, history, and outdoor play.
The Parkland and Gardens are open Wed, Thurs, Fri and Sun (plus Saturdays in August). Sledmere House is open, for guided tours only, from late March to late September on selected dates.
