Burton Constable Hall is a historic Elizabethan country house on the edge of Hull, set within a large estate of Capability Brown parkland. Inside, visitors can explore the many rooms, which hold fine furniture, paintings and an 18th-century Cabinet of Curiosities, and look around the stables, where a large whale skeleton is displayed. Outdoors there are lakeside and woodland walks, a wildlife sculpture trail and a waymarked parkland trail, so children can run about between sights. Families are catered for with activities aimed at younger visitors and seasonal events such as outdoor cinema evenings and a festive light trail. The Stables Kitchen serves meals and snacks, and there is a gift shop on site.

Hall closes for Christmas preparation and winter cleaning outside its open seasons; the parkland stays open through the year except late December.
