The visitor centre's interactive '1066: The Battle for England' exhibition tells the story with artefacts, and audio tours for adults and children bring the history to life. There is a family playground, trails across the battlefield, a contemporary cafe, gift shop and a picnic area with benches and tables. Run by English Heritage - members go free.
