The Observatory Science Centre & Museum sits within the historic domes of the former Royal Observatory, surrounded by Sussex countryside. Inside and out you'll find over 100 interactive exhibits — hands-on activities where children touch, push, wind and press to explore science. Specific exhibits include an Earthquake simulator in the 'Earth & Beyond' gallery, a Plasma Globe in the 'Light and Colour' gallery, and an Orrery mounted next to the Congo Schmidt telescope in Dome F. Stargazing evenings let visitors look through the historic telescopes. A limited-time Lunar Experience, designed with ages 7–12 in mind, runs from May to August. The centre also hosts Home Educator days and can be hired for celebrations.
