Founded in 1836, Elgin Museum is Scotland's oldest independent museum. Its collections include fossils, Pictish carved stones, archaeology and natural history from Moray and beyond. The museum offers family-friendly displays, activities and trails that bring local history to life for children, and admission is free, making it a great indoor option in Elgin on a rainy day.
