East Grinstead Museum is a free local history museum in the centre of East Grinstead, West Sussex, just behind the historic High Street. Housed in a purpose-built building at Old Market Yard on Cantelupe Road, the museum tells the story of East Grinstead and the surrounding area from its early beginnings to the present day, with permanent and changing exhibitions combining film, sound, images and intriguing objects. Families can pick up activity packs for the flagship 'Rebuilding Bodies and Souls' exhibition about Archibald McIndoe and the Guinea Pig Club, follow special under-8s text on the displays, and join summer holiday family activity days and half-term children's events. The museum is fully accessible with step-free level access throughout, an accessible toilet, a Blue Badge parking space and interactive touch screens, and there is a gift shop on site. Entry is free.
