Brighton Museum & Art Gallery is the city museum at Royal Pavilion Gardens, run by Royal Pavilion & Museums Trust. Permanent galleries include Ancient Egypt, Fashion & Style, Fine Art (old masters to modern pioneers), Images of Brighton, the Elaine Evans Archaeology Gallery and World Stories, a family-friendly gallery exploring histories, faiths and traditions through the eyes of young people. There are regular temporary exhibitions (e.g. Wildlife Photographer of the Year). Children under 13 must be accompanied by an adult. Access to the museum is via level paths through the garden, with accessible toilets nearby.

Closed 25 & 26 December, 1 January, and from 2.30pm on 24 December.
