Founded in 1874 by naturalist Edward Thomas Booth, this Brighton natural history museum is famous for its Victorian bird dioramas, British bird taxidermy, butterfly and insect collections, chalk fossils, skeletons and botany. Admission is free. The museum is part of the Royal Pavilion & Museums Trust and is currently temporarily closed for essential improvements, hosting occasional drop-in days during the closure.
