Findhorn Valley is the beautiful, scenic valley of the River Findhorn near Forres in Moray, offering stunning riverside walks, woodland trails and spectacular gorge scenery. The area is criss-crossed with well-maintained walking paths suitable for families, including the popular River Findhorn Circular walk (8 miles) which starts from Grant Park Car Park and follows the riverbanks past Sanquhar Loch, Dallas Dhu Distillery, and the Findhorn Bridge. Nearby Randolph's Leap is a spectacular gorge on the River Findhorn about six miles south of Forres with a scenic riverside walk. Sluie Walk offers a forest walk along the edge of a deep gorge with fine specimens of Scots Pine and Douglas Fir planted over 100 years ago. The valley is rich in wildlife including ospreys, red squirrels, and diverse birdlife. The area is free to access, dog-friendly, and part of the wider Moray walking network which was awarded Walkers are Welcome status in 2016.
