Questions parents ask

Is there a café, and what should we bring to eat?
Cafe Hope serves breakfast, lunch, cream teas and refreshments all year round. There are also picnic areas throughout the park, so you can bring your own food if you prefer.
Can we manage it with a pushchair and children of different ages?
The park has beautiful gardens, multiple activities and picnic areas spread across the grounds. However, we haven't confirmed whether buggies are easily manageable on all paths, so it's worth ringing ahead to check.
Will it work if the weather turns bad?
The park and facilities are open all year round, weather permitting. A wet day would limit the outdoor games, but the café is indoors and the woodland walks and gardens are still worth exploring.
Is there parking, and is it a long walk from the car?
There is parking close to the park. One visitor noted they used the car park just across the road, making access straightforward for families.
How long should we plan to spend here?
One family spent several happy hours relaxing, having a picnic, walking the gardens and playing pitch and putt. With so many activities—crazy golf, putting green, bird hide, woodland walks and a café—you can easily tailor a visit to an hour or a whole afternoon.
Is there somewhere to eat, or should we bring a picnic?
The Hungry Heifer Café is on site and serves fresh cooked food. We've not checked whether there's a dedicated picnic area.
How long should we allow for a visit?
One family with children aged 7 and 10 spent 3 hours climbing. The adventure playground and other activities on site mean you can easily fill most of a day if you want to.
Does it work in bad weather, or is a wet forecast the end of the plan?
It's designed for all weather: the indoor climbing wall is open year round, and the adventure playground works in rain — one visitor returned two days running despite pouring rain. The outdoor climbing is also available.
Is there parking, and is it a walk from the car?
Free all-day parking is available on site, so no walk from the car.
Which ages get the most out of it?
It suits both novices and experienced climbers of all ages. A two-year-old enjoyed the adventure playground elements, whilst children aged 7 and 10 spent hours on the climbing walls.
