Keswick Climbing Wall is an activity centre a short drive from Keswick town, set near the Castlerigg Stone Circle with views towards the Helvellyn range. Its indoor climbing wall has a large number of top-rope routes and a bouldering area, and novices can book lessons. Outdoors the site offers field archery through the woodland, a tower experience with views over the valley, a high ropes course and water activities on Derwentwater such as canoeing and kayaking. Families with younger children can use the adventure play area, and older children can try ghyll scrambling where age limits apply. There is a cafe on site with outdoor seating. Some activities have minimum ages, so it is worth checking which ones suit your children before you visit.
